So, fun fact, there is a horror-exclusive spin-off of The Black List. While The Black List is composed of the most well-received unproduced screenplays in a broader sense, The Blood List highlights some of the best unproduced “dark genre” screenplays in circulation. And today, we've gotten a first look of a project that uses a screenplay from that list. Titled Till Death, and written by Jason Carvey, the synopsis is as follows:
Till Death tells the story of Emma (Played by Megan Fox), who is left handcuffed to her dead husband as part of a sickening revenge plot. She must survive two hired killers on their way to finish the job.
The film recently finished up filming at Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria and will be the feature directorial debut of S.K. Dale. When Fox’s casting was first announced, Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein released the following statement:
“When we first read this concept on the Blood List, it immediately grabbed our attention. It’s a fun, suspenseful ride that’s going to shock and satisfy audiences worldwide – and we couldn’t be more excited for Megan to bring this to life.”
Fox, who recently has gotten back in acting after being dormant for most of the last decade to focus on being a mother, is following up the thriller Rogue which also carried elements of horror. And Fox's last well-received film before her break was also in that genre, Jennifer's Body. So, perhaps this film will play to her strengths in what looks like a mix between Gerald's Game and Saw (Hopefully with less dismemberments!) as the first look photos released today reveal:
Till Death co-stars Eoin Macken, Aml Ameen, Callan Mulvey, and Jack Roth. Stay tuned!
