The last couple years have seen many shifts in the structure of Marvel's film and TV management. Essentially, Marvel Television has been closed off, everything put under one roof over at Marvel Studios and creative control given completely to Kevin Feige. As such, all the shows on other streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu have been cancelled over the last couple years so everything can be under one roof and Disney+ will be the home of everything made so as to truly create shows that link with the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, a couple shows managed to finish production over at Hulu before this decision was made and thus will still premiere. One is the show Helstrom and the other is a stop-motion adult animated comedy series focusing on the character M.O.D.O.K. who will be voiced by Patton Oswalt.
Despite often being depicted as a villain to the Incredible Hulk, the show will essentially put M.O.D.O.K. in a domestic situation, depicted as a very neglectful husband whose evil organization, A.I.M., is currently facing bankruptcy. flounders at work trying to run a nearly bankrupt A.I.M. However, his wife Jodie (Voiced by Aimee Garcia) is currently succeeding professionally herself with her mommy blog-turned-lifestyle brand. After an incident occurs, the M.O.D.O.K. and Jodie will have to re-evaluate their relationship.
No premiere date has been given yet for M.O.D.O.K. but, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, the first photos of the show, depicting the bizarre character designs, has been released today. Check them out below:
