Stephen Lang will be having somewhat of a resurgence these next couple years in two of his most recognized villain roles. Not only is he (somehow) returning in next year's Avatar 2 as Colonel Miles Quaritch, but before that he'll first be back as his unique antagonistic role of Norman Nordstrom / "The Blind Man" from 2016's Don't Breathe. Of which today we have the first exclusive trailer for you that sees Lang return with vicious intent. Though, in a twist, he seems to be the hero of this story...at least at the beginning.
The upcoming sequel, simply titled Don't Breath 2, sees the Blind Man hiding in an isolated cabin since the events of the first film. Even more shocking, he is now seen raising a young girl orphaned from a devastating house fire. However, their quiet life together is shattered when a group of criminals kidnap the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her.
As the trailer shows, the result of his new vengeance will result in a bloody conflict that may rival the first film's violence...perhaps even surpass it. Check it out below:
Don't Breathe 2 is directed by Rodo Sayagues who also co-wrote the script with Fede Álvarez (the first film's director). Álvarez is also returning as a producer alongside Sayagues, Sam Raimi, and Robert Tapert. The film is set to land in theaters on August 13th.
Cool 😎 I liked the first one so looking forward to this. Trailer showed too much, though.
