"Eternals" Trailer Breaks Pandemic Viewing Record

While there is some question what is to become of theaters with the pandemic winding down and everything opening back up, there is almost zero debate whether when Marvel commences Phase 4 that audiences won't flock to see what's next. And while Black Widow will help bring a conclusion to one of the founding Avengers (set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War), the next film Eternals will find audiences looking forward. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the film will see the titular cosmic beings come out of isolation to protect from a threat created by Thanos' death. And, as is clear by the reception to the first trailer, it's going to be just as much of a success as any of the previous movies in the now decade-old franchise.

It's been confirmed that the first trailer has raked in a total of 77 million views within 24 hours of its online release, making it the most viewed MCU teaser during the pandemic. That's quite a number and quite an interest given how the film has just gotten it's first promotion, but clear indication. Hopefully, the film written and directed by recent Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao is as unique as Kevin Feige has been teasing. We'll know in November.

Eternals stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Gil Birmingham, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. It is set to hit theaters November 5th.

Half agree. It will be garbage for sure. But it will make money still cause Disney are using some subliminal hypno crap in their movies that attracts the masses.

you forget one thing - Guardians of the galaxy was released in 2014. before the #metoo/feminist/Woke agenda has went full swing. the movie is directed by a woman which is already a big warning sign.
