"Dungeons & Dragons" Reveals Official Synopsis

Hardcore D&D fans don't really like to talk about the film adaptation that landed in theaters back in 2000 which, despite bad reviews and box office receipts, got two sequels, though the first was made-for-TV and the third film was direct-to-DVD. Perhaps the upcoming big budget reboot in the works will fare better? We won't know for awhile as the film isn't set to arrive in theaters until March 3rd, 2023. Nonetheless, similar to the synopsis leaked today for the sequel to 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog (and courtesy of the U.S. Copyright Office website), the official synopsis for Dungeons & Dragons has been revealed as well. Check it out below:

An ex-Harper turned thief escapes from prison with his partner, a female barbarian, and reunites with a no-talent wizard and a druid new to their team in an effort to rob the cheating conman who stole all their loot from the heist that landed them behind bars, and used it to install himself as the Lord of Neverwinter. Only the traitor is allied with a powerful Red Wizard who has something far more sinister in store.

The film will star Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez. It will be co-written and co-directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (who co-directed the popular 2018 film Game Night). Stay tuned!
