One of the films that managed to finish production before the COVID-19 shutdown of the film industry was Death on the Nile, a direct sequel to Kenneth Branagh's 2017 film Murder on the Orient Express which saw Branagh also starring in both films as Agatha Christie’s iconic sleuth Hercule Poirot. One of the last films that was in production before Fox merged with Disney (And is now labeled as 20th Century Studios), the film will see Poirot going from murder on a train to murder on a steamboat in the middle of Egypt. And today, the official trailer has been released, mirroring the pop song-scored, sharp-edited trailer of the first film. Check it out below:
Death of the Nile stars Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Annette Bening, Letitia Wright, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Rose Leslie, Tom Bateman, Sophie Okonedo, Emma Mackey, and Ali Fazal.
