Admittedly, the Flash costume seen in 2017's Justice League was a little...well...Iron Man-ish. So, it's probably a good thing that, as revealed in new art today, the Flash's costume will get a more comic book accurate take for his upcoming solo film. The art is meant to serve as “the juxtaposition between [the Flash’s] vulnerability and his immense power”. The art also features Keaton’s Batman, with his original design Batsuit intact. Check them out below:
It's been revealed that, in the film. the suit will be designed by Bruce Wayne and will introduce the concept of the multiverse to the big screen which will allow various iterations of DC heroes from both the big and small screen to interact in one narrative adventure. As the film's screenwriter, Christina Hodson, was quoted saying today at DC FanDome:
“All of these stories and characters can start to collide. The cinematic multiverse is going to be borne out of this movie.”
The Flash will be directed by Andy Muschietti and is currently set to hit theaters June 3, 2022.
