"Coming Home Again" Debuts Official Trailer

 

Despite currently carrying an impressive 89% on Rotten Tomatoes after premiering at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, the heartfelt film Coming Home Again is just getting a trailer released. Judging by the synopsis, it will be quite endearing:


A Korean American man takes care of his sick mother as she teaches him her traditional recipes.


It's definitely possible the film was at odds with The Farewell, another 2019 film that focused on a child being with a dying relative and Coming Home Again simply lost out. This story has the benefit of being based on a 1995 New Yorker essay by Chang-Rae Lee, who co-wrote the screenplay with the film's director Wayne Wang. So, if anything, this film will offer a deep dive into grieving and family. Check out the trailer below:
