Today, Kristen Stewart talked about her affection for actress Emma Corrin's portrayal of Princess Diana in Netflix's The Crown, despite Corrin getting flak from fans of the late British icon for her portrayal. Stewart liked Corrin's portrayal to the point she used the same dialect coach for her own upcoming project focused on Diana, Spencer. Following a successful world premiere that has put Stewart as a frontrunner for Best Actress at next year's Academy Awards, the film seems on track to being another unique semi-fictional exploration of a popular historical figure. One that tells a fictional version of a Christmas weekend that will see Diana questioning her marriage and her very life's trajectory.
As the film is well-aware it has Diana's presence and memory will hang over every frame, the character posters released today show off-centered portraits of the principal cast, as if they are seen from the corner of the viewer's eye as they pass both a moment in time and contemplation on the people in that moment. Ghosts brought back to be explored in this new film. Check the character posters out below:
Spencer co-stars Jack Farthing, Timothy Spall, Sean Harris, and Sally Hawkins. It is directed by Pablo Larraín with a script by Stephen Knight. It is set to hit theaters November 5th.
Calling it...all the white male characters in the movie are evil.
