It's been over 10 years since Avatar first hit theaters in 2009. Yet, writer/director James Cameron seems determined still to follow his plans to make a five film series and, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, production is currently continuing in New Zealand on the films with the second, third and part of the fourth currently being worked on. And while it's anyone's guess what exactly the endgame to this series is, since the release of the first one Cameron has touted how the immediate follow-up will largely take place in the ocean of Pandora and will see the Na'vi battle the returning human antagonists who tried to strip their world of it's natural resources in the original film. Naturally, the antagonists will need some new ways to get around.
As such, today on the franchise's official Twitter page, concept art has been released displaying multiple forms of a new transformable underwater mech, dubbed the "Crabsuit" and is set to be one of many new RDA vehicles seen in the sequel films. Check them out below:
Avatar 2 stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, Matt Gerald, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, CJ Jones, and Vin Diesel. It is set to hit theaters December 17, 2021.

I think Cameron waited too long to get this out. No one cares anymore.
