Amazon's "Welcome to Blumhouse" Debuts Official Trailer

 

Midway through last month, a poster was released for the Amazon special Welcome to Blumhouse (See it here). This special will be a program of eight unsettling, genre movies that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. It's already been confirmed that the first four films will be timed for the Halloween season this year (Shown as double features) while the latter four films will launch sometime in 2021. As a reminder, here are the released synopsis for those first four movies set to premiere this Halloween:

  • October 6th: Veena Sud’s The Lie: Desperate parents (Played by Mireille Enos and Peter Sarsgaard) attempt to cover up a horrific crime – their teenaged daughter impulsively killing her best friend.

  • October 6th: Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr.’s Black Box: A man (Played by Mamoudou Athie) who loses his wife and his memory in a car accident. The now single father undergoes an agonizing experimental treatment causing him to question who he really is.

  • October 13th: Elan and Rajeev Dassani’s Evil Eye: A mother who becomes convinced her daughter’s new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past. Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani and Omar Maskati star.

  • October 13th: Zu Quirke’s Nocturne: A timid arts academy student (Played by Sydney Sweeney) who begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.
