Actress Adria Arjona has sort of been everywhere the last couple years although you may not have noticed her. Pacific Rim: Uprising, 6 Underground, and Triple Frontier featured her but not often at the very front, usually surrounded in a big ensemble. She was set to play opposite to Jared Leto in the Sony/Marvel film Morbius but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that film's release date was delayed until next year. However, in the meantime, she finds herself in another big project, that of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series based around Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor character.
Information on Arjona's character is unknown. She will join the likes of Alan Tudyk, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller who are also on board in supporting roles. The series is being pitched as a spy thriller and will focus on Andor prior to the events of Rogue One in the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire.
Behind-the-camera Tony Gilroy, who co-wrote Rogue One, is set to write the pilot for the series in addition to directing multiple episodes. Stephen Schiff has been hired as showrunner. Stay tuned!
@Brittany: Yeah, despite how some felt about the Disney SW movies, “Rogue One” was really good and I can’t wait to see them tackle a spy thriller aspect. 😊
Cool I’m excited for this! Can’t wait to watch
